A breath-connected approach with its focus on alignment, spinal stability and optimizing the body’s function, yoga therapy has been described as ‘the intersection between physical therapy and yoga.’
The practice addresses healing the whole person, designed to meet the unique needs of the individual(s) for optimal recovery and injury prevention. Wendy's teaching approach guides you closer towards healing from a specific injury, managing and shifting out of chronic pain.
There are a specific set of postures chosen for the individual’s needs based on their history and current condition. Breath work is also a key element of the practice, as well as taking a closer look at daily lifestyle choices.
Specialized yoga therapy for those managing chronic pain, recovering from surgery, or living with conditions such as Parkinson’s Disease and Cancer.

Stress impacts our health, mental capacity, and moral, thereby decreasing productivity and ultimately affecting the work environment. This has a negative impact on both the Employee (i.e. repetitive stress injuries and musculoskeletal disorders) and the Employer (i.e. increasing absenteeisms and benefits expenses).
The good news? Yoga can absolutely help. The practice of Yoga can be modified to suit the needs of any and all levels. And best of all, you can even practice it in your office chair!
Wendy spent 15 years working in Corporate America and understands the needs of bodies that sit at computers all day and those seeking balance throughout their busy days.
She collaborates with large companies to create tailored wellness strategies that reduce stress, prevent burnout, and enhance mental health. These programs often include customized yoga, mindfulness training, and holistic wellness approaches, including:
✓ Specialized practices to infuse an awareness for preventing strain and injuries, as well as stress management + stress reduction tools
✓ Certification of General Liability Insurance (for your peace of mind)
✓ Some of the yoga equipment (if needed), excluding yoga mats*
Some possibilities for yoga in your workplace:
✶ Yoga for Neck & Shoulders
✶ Yoga for Low Back & Hips
✶ Yoga in a Chair
✶ Workplace Retreats
✶ Yoga Breaks (Mini-Sessions)
✶ Weekly classes
*In most cases, a few mats can initially be provided
91-year old doris
The benefits of yoga therapy for older adults (or what is often referred to as Yoga for Seniors) include increased flexibility, strength, and balance, improved stability and confidence, and body awareness & proprioception.
Studies have also shown:
✓ Positive effects on cellular aging and mobility
✓ Reduced risk for slip and fall
✓ Protection against cognitive decline
✓ Improves sleep and mental well-being
Safe and specific breathing techniques are influential to increasing the lung capacity, as well as down-regulating the nervous system (helping to elicit the relaxation response).
The beauty of yoga therapy is it involves movements that are adaptable for all fitness and age levels. As a result, you’ll feel less stiff, more balanced, and have a stronger awareness overall.
Based from the teachings of Brenda Strong, Wendy co-created the practices of Soulful Conceptions™ . These are suitable for all levels, including prenatal students — especially those who are pregnant after infertility or miscarriages. We provide group sharing and community-building with in-person pop-up workshops, weekly live-streaming support groups, online programs and special wellness events in collaboration with fertility clinics such as HRC Fertility.
These practices are safe and suitable for those:
✶ Trying to conceive with or without ART (Assisted Reproductive Technologies)
✶ On the Two Week Wait (TWW)
✶ Being assisted by fertility drugs and treatments (i.e. clomid, IUI, follicle stimulating drugs, IVF, etc.)
✶ Approaching or in the middle of an assisted IVF cycle
✶ New to yoga, breath work & acupressure and not sure what is ‘safe’ to do
✶ Wanting to connect with other women moving through a similar journey
✶ Feeling isolated, shameful, alone and/or broken
✶ Seeking empowerment around the vague diagnosis of “unexplained infertility” and choosing to be proactive in the journey
